Students are rewarded for positive behavior in many different ways.

They can earn:

    *Maxey Money toward an auction

    *Royal Student of the Week

    *Principal Reward

    *Trimester Points Party

    *AR Party

Students are monitored for their behavior, work habits, and effort.  If a student does not follow the classroom characteristics that were determined by the class, they put their name on the board.

1st Offense: Warning. Name on Board

2nd Offense: Check next to name

3rd Offense : Check and detention or Peace Treaty

4th Offense:  Contact home or                                 principal

In 5th grade, we believe it is very important for students to be rewarded for positive classroom behavior.  We also think it is important for students to be held accountable for their responsibility and conduct.  That is why we have established a point system in 5th grade.  Each student can earn up to 10 points a week; 5 points for behavior and 5 points for homework. We will use these points to determine eligibility for many of the 5th grade events including trimester parties and end of the year activities.  You can keep track of your child’s weekly progress in these areas by accessing our online grading program, Snapgrades.

Students worked collaboratively to determine the character traits  we would like to be the foundation for our class.  We decided that responsibility, kindness, sportsmanship, honesty, and respect would be the traits that we can and should all follow.
